Thursday Feb 15, 2018
The Air Force One Detailing Project has been an ongoing effort for the last 15 years to preserve the finish of this historic aircraft. (As well as many of its stablemates) Levi Gates sits down with Evan Elliot (The Museum of Flight's Operations Manager) to discuss how this project started. This project would not be possible without Evan and the one and only Renny Doyle with his detail Mafia. Evan and Renny have been friends for over a decade where at one point, Evan was also detailing Air Force One alongside Renny with a MUCH smaller crew. Nowadays, The Detail Mafia has grown to a very respectable number of professional detailer's that are donating their time for this special event. Why Choose The Rupes Polishing System? | DETALKS
Wednesday Feb 14, 2018
Wednesday Feb 14, 2018
Rupes has made a large impact in the world of polishing due to their superior quality and iconic branding. But why choose a Rupes polisher over many of the competitors out there? Dylan Von Kleist joins Levia Gates on the set of Detalks to discuss the ins and outs of Rupes polishers. The long-throw polisher such as the bigfoot 21 has changed the game of polishing. Allowing faster correction and covers a LARGE surface area. This was a huge step in the detailing industry for those people who were used to shorter-throw polishers ranging from 8-12 mm. Dylan talks about the new forced rotation polisher to the Rupes lineup and the possible debut date for consumers. The gear driven polishers are preferred by many detailers and have come a long way. While Rotary polishers are still the most common tool, our detailers also discuss the rising market in DA polishers.

Innovation & Imitation In The Detailing Industry | DETALKS
Tuesday Feb 13, 2018
Tuesday Feb 13, 2018
At what point do innovations become imitations in the detailing industry? What if an imitation is improved? Does it then become innovation? Join us on this controversial topic and hear from the opinions from the Detailing Pro's. Rupes Marketing Manager Dylan Von Kleist joins the set of Detalks for a popular "discussion" within the detailing world. With 20 years of experience as a detailing guru, Dylan brings a outsiders perspective on the free market and "innovation." As many people know, microfiber isn't a patented material. Manufactures are free to create whatever they feel is an effective tool to clean cars safely and effectively. The Rag Company is not just a distributor, but also a manufacturers of Microfiber products. We have been creating products for almost 20 years and have experienced innovation and imitation. With Polishers, it's a bit different. There are patents on machines and the way they work. Dylan explains how the Rupes machines will have imitations, but none of them live up to the standard of Rupes.

Friday Feb 09, 2018
Friday Feb 09, 2018
Dylan von Kleist is a name well-known in detailing circles. He's been a part of several notable detailing supply companies, including Adam's Polishes, Surf City Garage and now Rupes. Dylan has roughly 20 years of experience in the detailing industry and has made countless friends from his work. Being able to grow in the detailing industry and move to a corporate position take time and dedication. Hands-on experience is something that corporate detailing industries need for just about every position involved. With Dylan working for Rupes USA as a marketing manager, his skills are always needed for Demos and classes. Want to see more Rupes products? Check out their site!
