On this special edition of "Between Two Detailers," Levi and Dylan talk about the infamous $50 detail job.

As everyone knows, you get what you pay for. But how does that translate into the detail world? Most people would consider a $10 automated car wash to be average, so why wouldn't a $50 full detail be in the same ballpark? Levi and Dylan talk about the quality of work involved in cheap detail jobs and why this still exist. Because let's face it, some people like cheap things and will continue to like cheap things for the rest of time. A high quality detail should never seem "cheap," and if it does you may want to steer clear. However, there are also people that do not charge people accordingly for their quality of work. If they are spending days on a car, they should be making more than $100 for example. What are your thoughts about the $50 detail? Let us know in the comments!

Raising kids and working full time isn't easy by anyone's standards, but how does it differ in the detailing world? Does your detailing career interfere with your family time? We all know that phone calls can possibly lead to detail jobs, but when is it time to put down the phone? The detailing industry is full of ridiculously hard workers that typically don't pass up a job. But when does the work become a bigger priority than the things that matter most? Levi and Dylan are huge advocates of spending quality time with their family. Both of them have special needs kids and understand more than anyone how their kids NEED them. Levi has raised a child with autism and a child with Type 1 Diabetes. Dylan has a child with autism as well. Both of these detailers put their family first and know when to let the phone call go to voice mail. As Dylan said, nothing in detailing is life or death. They both talk about how they set aside time for family during their busy schedules and give advice for those that need it. Being a Dad (or mom) and a detailer is not impossible!

He is the founder of The Detail Mafia and the powerhouse behind The Air Force One Detailing Project. Renny Doyle joins Levi Gates for a long awaited DETALKS. Renny gives us his history in the industry and the connections he has made along the way. He has teamed up with FLEX Polishers as well as P&S to create a perfect detailing system. If you've heard of the International Detailing Association, then you have probably heard of Mr. Keith Duplessie! Keith is the former President of the IDA and now working in Customer Development for P&S Detailing Products. The IDA is a HUGE part of the Air Force One detailing project. Many (if not all) of the detailers are IDA certified and skills validated. Renny Doyle himself is a skills validated trainer and big supporter of the IDA. Levi Gates and Keith talk about the project and Keith's new venture into P&S.
